The Mets, managed by Justin Sleeper, were victorious against the Blue Jays, 8-3, to capture the 30+ Spring Championship in the Florida Adult Baseball League. The Blue Jays got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Joseph Socarras singled to right field, Andre Ruiz singled to left field, and Lazaro Gallardo hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Troy Swenson was struck by a pitch, which helped the Mets tie the game at three in the top of the sixth.
In the top of the eighth inning, the Mets went back into the lead after Troy Swenson doubled down the right field line, and Matt Baranchak singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Brendon Leslie earned the win for the Mets. The hurler surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five.
