2026 Trash Pandas Claw Their Way to First 18+ Championship at Red River Adult Baseball League

Red River Adult Baseball League, 18+ Division

Submitted by Zach Young, manager

After a tough season, with their catcher deployed right before the playoffs and their center fielder out half the season, the Trash Pandas crawled into the #2 spot. Going into the playoffs, they knew they had back-to-back days in the Louisiana heat. Their playoff game Saturday went a full nine innings, while trailing the Firedogs the whole time.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Trash Pandas tied it up and loaded the bases, and manager Zach Young walked it off. With a used-up pitching staff, they started Edward Burnett, who hadn’t pitched all year. He gave them six innings of everything he had to keep them in it.

After that, it was a fight; they went thirteen innings and finally closed out their first championship since MVP Zach Young started the Trash Pandas three years ago.
