We had a 3-game championship series, and after losing game one, Cornell grad Pete Lannoo pitched seven shutout innings in game two and a complete game in game three to clinch.
The Indianapolis Bandits got on the board in the first inning after Ben Webster singled to score one run.
The HC Phillies flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 5-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Pete Lannoo that drove in two.
Pete Lannoo earned the win for the HC Phillies. The starter surrendered 13 hits and two runs (one earned) over nine innings, striking out nine and walking two. Matt Meyer took the loss for the Bandits. The starter went eight innings, giving up seven runs on nine hits, striking out nine and walking two.
The Phillies amassed nine hits. Cole Hampton and Geronimo Berroa JR each collected two hits for HC Phillies. Geronimo Berroa JR and Pete Lannoo each drove in two runs for the Phillies. They also turned one double play.
The Indianapolis Bandits recorded 13 hits. Eduardo Molero, Aaron Puntarelli, Nathan McCain, and Ben Webster each collected two hits for the Bandits. Ben Webster led them with one run batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-5 on the day.
In 2026, we posted a record 11-4 overall in the regular season, winning our 8th consecutive regular-season title. This was our sixth title in ten years.
We were led offensively by Cole Hampton (.426, 23 H, 6 2B, 5 HR, & 18-RBI), Jeff Cardenas (.414, 24 H, 10 2B, 3 HR, & 15-RBI), Luis Vergara (.422, 19 H, 7-2B, 3-HR, & 19-RBI), Pete Lannoo (.447, 21 H, 4-2B, 1-3B, & 12-RBI), Geronimo Berroa, JR (.362, 21-H, 8-2B, 2-HR, & 13-RBI), and Matt Pulley (.345, 19 H, 3-2B, 4-HR, & 18-RBI).
On the mound, we were led by Pete Lannoo (6-1, 53 IP, 66 K, & 1.02 ERA), Ben Stenger 4-2, 34.2 IP, 38 K, & 4.41), Pat Riley (2-0, 33 IP, 22 K, 2.45), Matt Pulley (1-1, 22 IP, 9 K, 1.23), and bullpen RP Jordan Hamsley.
