2026 Milwaukee Lugnuts Defeat Pilots to Win 62+ Milwaukee Rock Championship

A partial logo with bold black text and orange tagline on a light background.‘Rocket’ Ron Bailey collected three hits in four at-bats as the 62+ Lugnuts defeated the 62+ Pilots, 9-4, on Thursday at Pirates Park. Rocket singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

The 62+ Lugnuts scored in the bottom of the first inning after Tim ‘Doc’ Depledge grounded out, scoring one run, and Rocket singled, scoring two runs.

The 62+ Lugnuts extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Scott Buttercup (aka Happycup) Gilmore, William ‘Mo’ Muhammed, and ‘Doc’ Depledge.

A single by Kevin ‘Shoes’ Devenport extended the Lugnuts’ lead to 8-2 in the bottom of the third inning.

Mike ‘Roadhouse’ Dalton earned the win for the 62+ Lugnuts. Roadhouse conceded eight hits and two runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two.

Pilots’ ace John Arnold took the loss for the Pilots, going three innings, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits, striking out two and walking two. ‘Rocket’ Bailey earned the save.

The 62+ Lugnuts rapped 15 hits in the game. Paul ‘Q’ Quesnell, Doc, and Buttercup (Happycup) each collected multiple hits for 62+ Lugnuts. The Lugnuts turned two double plays in the game.

The 62+ Pilots smacked 14 hits in the game. Mickey Pruefer provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led the Pilots with two runs batted in. Mickey went 3-for-5 on the day.

Bob Heiderscheit and Pruefer each had three hits for the 62+ Pilots. Mike Drilling and Frank McCann each had two hits for the Pilots. Marvin Oliver collected two walks for the Pilots. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game.
