2026 Houston Stars Topple Hombres for Spring 55+ Crown at Houston Hardball League

Houston Stars 6, Hombres 2

It took the Stars until the sixth inning to break through against the Hombres, and when they finally scored five, there was no turning back.  Manager Jeff Pruneau and Tony Moore combined to give up just three hits in the game.

Tony was the key contributor on the hill as he threw five shutout innings in the 6-2 victory, striking out six.  Keith Doerhmann’s 2-RBI double essentially sealed the win in the sixth inning.  Keith Larson had three hits while Tad Rickard, Raul Moreda, and Keith Doehrmann each had two hits.

Willy Finnegan, Billy Johnson, Greg McMeans, and John Hale each contributed a hit too.  Kudos to Bruce Clark for catching the entire game in the Texas heat!
