The Terror Dogs are once again champions!
The No. 1-seeded Terror Dogs completed a memorable 2026 BSTABL Summer League season by defeating the No. 2-seeded BC Bombers in two games to sweep the championship best-of-three series and capture their second consecutive league championship.
The Terror Dogs used a complete team effort throughout the series, combining dominant pitching, timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and outstanding defense to earn victories of 14-5 in Game 1 and 5-2 in Game 2.
Game 1: Clark Leads the Way in Dominant Opening Victory
The Terror Dogs wasted little time taking control of the championship series, earning a convincing 14-5 victory in Game One.
Leading the way was league MVP Alex Clark, who capped off his outstanding season with a brilliant performance on both sides of the ball. Clark pitched six innings, allowing zero earned runs, while also going 2-for-4 with three RBI at the plate.
Clark’s performance was supported by impressive offensive contributions throughout the Terror Dogs lineup. Michael Chantry, Joseph Dundon, Anthony Siracusa, and Teagan Irish each came through with big hits as the Terror Dogs offense continued to apply pressure and pull away for the decisive victory.
The combination of Clark’s dominant pitching and the explosive offensive performance gave the Terror Dogs an early 1-0 advantage in the best-of-three championship series.
Game 2: Early Offense and Pitching Seal the Championship
With a chance to clinch the championship in Game Two, the Terror Dogs once again came out ready to play.
Anthony Campo, the manager and centerfielder for the Terror Dogs, set the tone from the very first at-bat, leading off the game with a base hit before stealing second. Campo’s aggressive start was followed by a series of great at-bats, timely hits, and walks that helped the Terror Dogs put together a four-run first inning.
That early offensive outburst proved to be all the support starting pitcher Ryan Konop would need.
Konop delivered a strong championship-clinching performance, pitching six innings and allowing just one earned run. The Bombers’ lone earned run against Konop came on a hit by Trevor Dennison, but the Terror Dogs starter remained in control throughout his outing.
The BC Bombers received an outstanding pitching performance of their own from Joe Miller, who entered after the first two innings and kept his team within striking distance. Miller shut down the Terror Dogs offense over the next five innings, allowing zero earned runs and just one hit, a base hit by Joseph Confalone.
Miller’s dominant relief effort gave the Bombers an opportunity to battle back and potentially even the championship series.
But the Terror Dogs would not allow it.
Konop continued to shut down the Bombers, while the defense behind him came up with several huge plays. Anthony Suhadolnik and Caden Congdon each made outstanding defensive contributions that helped preserve the Terror Dogs lead and keep the Bombers from mounting a late comeback.
After six strong innings from Konop, the ball was handed to Congdon to finish the job.
Congdon delivered exactly what the Terror Dogs needed.
Facing the final three outs of the championship season, Congdon pitched a perfect 1-2-3 seventh inning, closing out the game and securing the 5-2 victory.
Behind the plate for the championship-clinching final inning was Lenny Cannella, whose appearance added another memorable chapter to an incredible baseball journey. Cannella has now played baseball for 40 consecutive years, and throughout the two-game championship series demonstrated his remarkable versatility by playing first base, third base, right field, and catcher.
With Cannella behind the plate and Congdon closing out the final inning, the Terror Dogs secured their second consecutive BSTABL Summer League championship!
