‘Rumble Ponies Accomplish ‘Three-peat’ in 2026’

The 2026 Saratoga Rumble Ponies captured their third Saratoga MSBL championship in a row and fourth in five years on August 18th. The team finished the season with a 21-1 record, including a clean sweep of their playoffs.  They are now 58-9 in their last three seasons combined.

The team was led by Justin Brooks and Jon Mueller on the mound.  Justin finished 8-0 in 45.2 innings and a 1.69 ERA.  Jon was 7-0 with an identical 45. innings pitched and a 1.69 ERA.  The back end of the rotation and bullpen was held down by Ryan Gauck and Matt Raymond, who were a combined 4-1 with 38 innings pitched.

The offense was outrageous for the Ponies in 2026, hitting .346 as a team with 197 runs scored in 21 games.  Max Keado had an OPS of 1.596 (.500 AVG, 4HR, 21 RBI).  Andrew Pedone led the team in hits with 26 hits and 24 runs scored.  Nolan Duda hit .467 with 21 hits in 45 AB and drove in 13, while Casey Job hit .447 (21-47) while driving in 14 and scoring 20 runs.

Aaron Cook (.404), Christian Brown (.381), Rich Sutherland (.364), Rich Drum (.346), and Mike Renda (.304) had monster offensive years as well.   Jon Mueller led the way on the bases with 11 stolen bases.

Rumble Pony Manager Andy Pedone said, “It’s amazing to manage this group of guys.  They are team-first guys who do whatever it takes to help us win.  My job is pretty easy when you are surrounded by this much talent.”

The second-year skipper is now 40-4 in his first two years as the manager of the ball club.  With the 3-peat, the Rumble Ponies will look to tie a Saratoga MSBL record four championships in a row in 2027!
