Pirates 7, Bombers 2

The Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball League championship for the 50+ National Division was played on October 1, 2025. The Pirates held on to win the 50 + National Division bracket championship over their familiar opponent, the Bombers.
The battle between these two teams is not unfamiliar. These two teams met earlier in the championship round in the spring league championship. The Pirates completed their championship run after finishing with a 12-2 season. The Pirates finished the game with a 7-2 victory.
Scott Corliss threw an impressive complete game for the Pirates. The Pirates started early, scoring two runs in the first inning, one run in the second, and four runs in the third. The Bombers put up two runs in the third inning but fell short of the victory.
The Pirates were able to grab the championship during their first season with Ever Maldonado heading the team. Congratulations to Ever and the SMSBL 50 Pirates!
