2025 St. Paul Muskies Claim First 28+ Championship in Twin Cities MABL

‘Klocker Throws Complete Game Championship Victory’

For the first time in their 12-year history, the St. Paul Muskies captured the TCMABL 28+ Championship in dominant fashion, defeating the defending champion Grasshoppers, 15-5.

The Muskies got the scoring started early, putting up three runs in the first inning, thanks to back-to-back home runs by Emery Hull and Benjamin Nelson. The early offensive explosion continued as the Muskies added another run in the second inning and four more in the third to take an early 8-0 lead.

David Klocker earned the win on the mound, throwing a complete game and allowing nine hits, five runs, one walk, and 10 strikeouts. He was perfect through five innings.

Offensively, the Muskies were led by Hull, who went 5-for-5 with a home run, one walk, and four RBI. As a team, the Muskies combined for 18 hits, including four extra-base hits, six walks, two hit-by-pitches, and five stolen bases. Defensively, the team was stellar in the field, committing zero errors.

This was a redemption year for the Muskies, who, last year, lost the championship game to the Grasshoppers in heartbreaking fashion during a marathon 11-inning game.

For the Muskies, this championship wasn’t just about the victory itself, but the culmination of years of hard work, team building, and resilience. In their first three seasons, the Muskies combined for a 4-34 record. However, after several successful regular-season finishes in recent years, they had yet to get over the hump in the playoffs. Team Manager David Klocker couldn’t be prouder of his squad. “We’ve been building for this moment for years. These guys gave everything they had, and it paid off. This is just the beginning.”

The victory also marked a new chapter for the Muskies, who now look forward to defending their title in the coming seasons. With strong pitching, clutch hitting, and a deep, talented roster, the Muskies are poised to remain a dominant force in the TCMABL for years to come.
