Submitted by Ralph Proulx, manager

The Erie-Buffalo Baseball Club stamped its name in bold across the 35+ MUNY-AA–MSBL Buffalo League once again, finishing the season as Champions with style, grit, and plenty of thunder at the plate.

After rolling through the regular season undefeated (14-0), powered by one of the most dangerous lineups in the league, the offense put up video-game numbers:

Don McEvoy – .586

Chris Snusz – .531

Fred Falkowski – .453

Dan Potwora – .432

Joe Ferrando – .422

The bats never stopped singing.

The postseason had its drama. In the Quarterfinals, the Stingers handed Erie-Buffalo their first loss of the year, a tight 5-4 battle. But champions respond. The Club stormed back with authority, taking the next two games 13-1 and 10-3, riding stellar pitching performances from Taylor Sekuterski and Mark Messina.

Then came the Championship Finals against Kuhn Contracting, the very team that denied Erie-Buffalo the crown last season. Revenge was sweet. In Game 1, Noah Huard was lights-out, scattering just four hits in a commanding win.

Game 2 looked grim early, down 6-0, but this squad doesn’t fold. The offense erupted, clawing all the way back to a 14-10 victory and a series sweep.

Clutch hits came from Snusz, McEvoy, Falkowski, and Derek Jozwiak, with key contributions all around from Jeremy Ross, Mike Webster, John Catanzaro, Craig Leone, Mile Austin, Jim Poulos, and Paul Yemma.

This championship was more than just talent — it was heart, resilience, and great leadership. Special thanks go out to the outstanding coaching staff of Glenn Hauptman and Jim Galbo, whose steady guidance kept the team focused and fierce.
