Fun facts: The Ducks won their third straight championship (2022, 2023, 2024) finishing 6-0 in the three Championship Series. The Expos have now lost three Championship series (2020, 2023, 2024) going 0-6 in the three Championship Series.
2024 Championship Series Summary
In an almost identical playoff run to their title last year and after losing their first playoff game, the Pickerington Ducks won six straight games defeating the Columbus Brewers, Blazers, and Westerville Expos enroute to the 2024 Central Ohio MABL Championship.
The Ducks defeated the Brewers 2-1 in quarter-finals (1-2, 9-0, 11-5), swept the Blazers in the semi-finals 2-0 (12-2, 8-6) and swept the Expos in2 (6-3, 1-0) in the League Championship Series. Strong pitching and timely hitting propelled the Ducks to their third title in as many years. The Ducks finished the season 23-5 and are an impressive 74-9 over the last three years and are 3-time Central Ohio MABL Champions.
Brad Taylor was named championship series MVP.
The Westerville Expos made their third appearance in the League Championship Series. The Expos swept the Cap City Cubs 2-0 in quarter-finals (5-4, 11-0), swept the Ohio Phillies in the semi-finals 2-0 (3-1, 3-0) before being swept in two by the Ducks. The Expos finished the season 22-5.
