2024 Braves Sweep Reds in Championship Series to Capture Central Kentucky ‘Repeat’ Title

Braves 12, Reds 2 (Game two of championship series sweep)

The Braves won their second Central Kentucky Adult Baseball Association Championship Series in as many years. The Reds gave a tremendous effort behind the pitching of Tony Cobb going seven innings on the hill. Cobb recorded eight K’s, 16 hits, six walks, 12 runs and two HBP’s.

Brandon Rogers got the win for the Braves going three innings while Mickey Brangers went the other three innings.  They both combined for nine K’s, six hits, two walks, and two runs.

The 10-run rule was in effect with the final score 12-2 after the top of the seventh inning.

The Braves finished the season winning 14 straight games and the 10-run rule was achieved in three of the four games in post season. The Reds finished the season at 7-15 while the Braves were 19-2.

Mickey Brangers was voted MVP and captured the Cy Young Award, Brandon Rogers won the Gold Glove Award, Andy Gray captured the Hank Aaron Award, and Braves manager Jody Bingham was voted the Manager of the Year!
