‘Shepard Walks it off for Championship Victory’

The Rattlers entered the 35-over Spring league playoffs as the two seed and worked through the tournament to win the championship against the defending champion Aviators.

The victory came in spectacular fashion as Greg Shepard followed a first inning home run with a 2-run single to walk off the Aviators. Shepard also got the win as he pitched the last two innings to close the game.

Kim Fuerniss contributed with a solid game at the plate including a home run to get the late inning scoring rolling for the Rattlers.  It was an amazing game by both teams, and revenge for the walk off loss to the Aviators last season.  The Rattlers ended the 2024 Spring campaign with a record of 12-3.
