After a challenging season with struggles to field a full team, the North County Sharks defied the odds and clinched a remarkable victory in their championship game against the Colt 45’s. Despite their regular season record of 2-9-1, the Sharks delivered a stunning performance, triumphing 7-3 with a full roster.

The game started with Jim Creel on the mound for the Sharks, pitching five innings and allowing three runs. His solid effort set the stage for a strong defensive showing. Jason Bendorf then took over, pitching four scoreless innings, which proved crucial in securing the win.

In the pivotal sixth inning, Jason Bendorf also played a key role at the plate, delivering the game-winning RBI. His performance was critical, both on the mound and at bat, showcasing his all-around contribution to the team’s success.

I was fortunate to be voted the championship game MVP, going 3-4 at the plate, including a crucial triple that drove in a run.

Despite their challenging season, the North County Sharks demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and determination when it mattered most, culminating in a well-deserved championship win that they will undoubtedly cherish for seasons to come.
