2023 Bombers Upend Nationals for 28+ Division Summer Crown in San Antonio MSBL

On Sunday, December 3rd, the 28+ San Antonio Bombers won the Summer League Title in the 28 Division of the San Antonio Texas Men’s Senior Baseball League. The game was played at the Blanco High School athletic field. The 28 Bombers defeated the 28+ Nationals 5-1 in a hard-fought game, as the Nationals dominated league play during the Summer Season.
For the 28+ Bombers, JR Voyles pitched a 9-inning masterpiece, fanning 15 batters while giving up only four hits. Travis Buaas led the Bombers’ defense, as he made an ESPN highlight catch in left-center to save a run. Also, Bryce Sorbel made several tough plays at shortstop to prevent any further runs.
The Bombers scored three runs in the second inning on two walks and three hits. The Bombers added a run in the fourth and another in the eighth.
Chris Pace and Bryce Sorbel led the Bombers with two hits each.
