‘A’s Ride 18 Game Win Streak to Championship’

The Emmaus A’s captured their first Lehigh Valley MSBL 35+ division title with a dramatic ninth inning walk-off hit by Justin Godusky to seal the 12-11 victory over the Indians. The A’s finished the season with a 22-3 record that included an unbelievable 18 game win streak to end the season.

They were led by mound workhorse Ryan Palos, who finished the season 11-0 with a 1.92 ERA. Offensively the A’s were anchored by shortstop Michael Wenner who hit .525, scored 24 runs and led the league with 21 stolen bases. Brian Martin was another huge contributor as he batted .423 with a league leading 27 RBI. The A’s were managed by Mike Wenner Sr., who picks up his first championship as a manager in the Lehigh Valley MSBL.
