‘Reds Post Undefeated Season for Crown’

A new and improved Reds team was able to hold off a late surge of offense from the defending champion Commodores to win it all with a 7-5 victory recording the league’s first ever undefeated season. The game featured a lot of back and forth offense and strong pitching by both starting pitchers.

Dalton Brown and Jarrod Newton both had 3-hit games for the Reds leading to runs on all three at bats for each of them. For the Commodores, Cody Wilson had a 2-RBI single to start the rally for the Commodores and Chris Tapia pitched nine strong innings with two hits to follow it all up as well. A great second season for the league and can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

The Decatur Adult Baseball League began under the MSBL banner in 2016. Congratulations to both the Reds and Commodores!
