‘Wolfpack Accomplish ‘Three-Peat’ in Championship Series Sweep’

The Wolfpack completed their ninth title in their 13-year history and third in a row, sweeping the best-of-5 series in three games against the Albany Reds. Co-playoff MVP Joey Boomhower and Will Horan led the way.

Joe was dominant in the playoffs with three wins and a save between the semis and finals. Will was also stellar behind the plate, throwing out 7 of 8 base runners attempting to steal.

Mike Ruffinen had a great offensive series, leading the offense, and standout shortstop Jami Burnetter locked down the infield. This team’s camaraderie over the years is second to none: you have a team of #3 quality hitters, and no one complains about where they bat/as it’s a team game.

Another milestone happened during the regular season, when Brendan Roberts tossed a 7-inning perfect game against the Saratoga MSBL Rockies in our interleague play.

Eric Joyce came up big, pitching the closeout game in the finals.  The scores were 11-9, 2-0, and 8-3.
