2025 Woodland-Davis MSBL Crowns Pirates as Their 2025 Champs

Woodland-Davis MSBL

Pirates 6, Phantoms 1 (Game three in best-of-three championship series)

Submitted by Chavo Delacruz, manager

The Woodland-Davis MSBL Pirates defeated the Phantoms, 6-1, in the third and final game of the best-of-three championship series.  The Pirates return as champions once again.

Our team is made up of young talented guys who all support one another. We are not only teammates, but friends off the field.

Our season was highlighted by Ryan Dufort, who went 8-0 with an 0.75 ERA, all while batting .593, and winning the MVP OTAHNI AWARD.

We also entertained a Foreign Exchange student from Japan, GO TONE, who played a huge part in filling in every position, while providing a solid leadoff batter.

The infield turned an amazing bases loaded triple play to highlight the best infield in the league, as the outfield saw speed and arm strength throwing out singles to right field for outs.

The camaraderie between the boys is what makes this team go. This is the fifth championship in seven years. We are proud to play the game the right way, always showing sportsmanship and respect for the field and the players.

We thank the MSBL league, WDMSBL, and everyone involved in making this a successful season.

Thank you all!
