Mustangs Baseball Club 12, Nationals 5 (Game three in best-of-three championship series)

The championship series opened with a nail-biter, as the Nationals edged out a 5–4 victory in game one, handing the Mustangs’ ace Vince Towns a rare loss.

The Mustangs bounced back in game two, responding with an impressive 11–4 win behind a strong outing from Jody Brookover, who earned the victory on the mound.

In game three, the Nationals jumped out to an early 3–0 lead against Towns, but the Mustangs held their composure and kept the game within reach. The contest remained tight until the late innings, when the Mustangs strung together a series of timely hits to pull ahead and secure a 12–5 victory. Eric Bandzewski went 3 for 4 with three RBI in the final game.

With back-to-back commanding performances, the Mustangs claimed the championship after dropping the opener, showcasing resilience, depth, solid defense, and timely hitting across the lineup.

For the 40+ Mustangs Baseball Club this is their seventh league championship in a row!
