It was very good season for the Monarchs! The hard work this team put in paid off with winning the championship.
Behind the strong pitching of Huey Fotiu, who went the distance in game one and added 5.1 innings of relief in game two, Mike Gorospe, who strapped on the gear for all 18 innings, and Rob Bingham who swung a hot bat throughout the playoffs finished with a .769 BA.
We took both games of a doubleheader from the Emeralds, 5-3 and 9-8 respectively. While being down 8-4 in game two, we came from behind to win it on a walk-off in the ninth. CHAMPIONS!
