‘Rays Go Undefeated; Secure ‘Back-to-Back’ Titles’

The Long Island Rays (52+) capped off an extraordinary 9-0-1 undefeated season, capturing their second consecutive LIMWBL Championship with a commanding 22–4 victory over the Long Island Padres.

The Rays combined powerhouse hitting and sharp defense to go the distance. Scott Jivin (.667 AVG, 1.422 OPS), Jay Clement (.636 AVG, 1.588 OPS), and Ramon Avila (.600 AVG, 1.200 OPS) led the offensive charge, while Rob Diemer (.556 AVG, 1.253 OPS) anchored the middle of the order.

Gary Cergol earned ‘Top Defensive Player’ honors for the third straight year for his outstanding work behind the plate. Remarkably, every rostered player entering the Championship game finished the regular season batting .300 or better.

On the mound, the Rays’ rotation delivered with consistency and command. Rob Diemer (4–0, 3.04 ERA) went the distance in the title game to earn his first championship win, supported throughout the season by Scott Jivin (2–0, 2.28 ERA) and Manager Ray Shah (3–0, 4.62 ERA). Together, the trio powered the Rays to an undefeated finish.
