2025 Indy Reds Overwhelm HC Phillies for 35+ Title at Indiana Baseball League

The third time was a charm for the 35+ Indy Reds of the Indiana Baseball LeagueIBL.  The Reds beat the HC Phillies 14-1 for the 2025 IBL 35+ title.  The Reds had lost the previous two finals appearances, including the 2024 title game with the HC Phillies.Logo of Indiana Baseball League

Pitching and defense were the strengths of the 2025 season for the Indy Reds.  The Reds went 15-3 with an aggregate score of 152-42.  Richard Geary, Wayne Bond, Tim Anderson, and Uriak Marquez led the offense.  Matt McLaren, Wayne Bond, and Jay Broughton led the pitching efforts.

The Reds rolled through the 2025 playoffs, winning their three games by a score of 34-5.  Matt McLaren was the winning pitcher in the semi-final and final, giving up only one unearned run in 15 innings pitched.

Ryan Bond led the offense in the final game with three hits and three runs scored.  It was a complete team effort on offense as nine players scored at least one run in the final game.
