‘Generals Baseball Club 28+ Sets New Standard with Record-Setting 18-win Season and Fourth Championship In Six Seasons’

AUSTIN, TX — The Generals Baseball Club’s 28+ squad has solidified its place among the elite baseball teams in Austin, Texas, by capping off a historic 2025 campaign by securing its fourth championship in six seasons — and, for the first time in franchise history, ‘back-to-back’ titles.Austin Metro Baseball League logo with baseball.

Entering the season as defending champions for the third time, the Generals were focused on making history. Despite past success, the club had never repeated — until now. The 2025 squad was not only fueled by experience but reloaded with talent, forming a roster many regard as even stronger than the 2024 championship team.

From Opening Day through the postseason, the Generals played with purpose and precision. Powered by elite pitching, a deep lineup, and unshakable defense, they delivered consistent performances week after week, ultimately finishing the season with a club-record 18 wins.

“The mindset this year was different,” said Manager Alex Carrasquillo. “This group knew what was at stake and what it would take to go back-to-back. They were built for the moment — and they answered every challenge.” After grinding through a hard-fought semifinal series, the Generals faced longtime rivals, the Austin Mets, in a best-of-three championship showdown. True to form, the team’s pitching depth and clutch hitting proved decisive as they secured the title in Game three after dropping the opening game of the series.

The 2025 season not only marks another trophy for the club’s growing collection but also a statement year that underscores the franchise’s commitment to excellence, tradition, and championship culture.

“With four championships in six seasons, and now the first back-to-back in club history, this team has established a true standard,” Carrasquillo added. “The crown stays with the Generals until someone can take it — and that’s easier said than done.”
