2024 Red River Rats Ride One-Run Playoff Victories to Red River Adult Baseball League 30+ Championship

(Photos courtesy of Rachael Nipper) The Rats pulled out a nail biter in both playoff games this year. We started off with a 10-9 win over the Minden Red Birds in the semi’s and a 13-12 victory over the D’Arbonne Lake Monsters in the finals. In my 23 years in the league and seven years as head coach, I have rarely been involved in such exciting playoff baseball.
Colby Martin pitched a complete game in the semis and Jose Leonardo pitched a complete game in the finals. One of our old Rats, Joe Lockhart went 5-8 to lead us Old Rats and Cedric Magee led the Young Rats with five hits in the playoffs.
Josh Minter missed the first game and went 4-4 in the finals with four hits, four runs, four rbi’s, and two stolen bases. This makes 10 championships for the Rats since 2002 in MSBL leagues!Â
