2024 NY Outlaws Claim First 45+ Division Title in Hudson Valley MSBL

The NY Outlaws won our first championship after just our third year together in the 45+ Division of the Hudson Valley MSBL.

We built our team from a bunch of childhood friends and a few other pickups along the way.  We quickly knocked the rust off and put it together to take the championship this year.

We went 13-5 during the reg season, 16-5 overall.  We beat the defending champion Sharks, 19-6 in a 26-hit attack to win the title. Winning pitcher Mike Z went 6 1/3 strong innings while John Morrissey slammed the door in the seventh for the win.  The game ended by the 10-run mercy rule after seven innings.

This was a total team effort all year.  We had a few individual accomplishments, led by Chris Brooker (league MVP), and John Manganiello (Coach of the Year).

The Outlaws hit .413 overall as a team during the regular season and an impressive .530 during the playoffs.
