‘Indians Secure ‘Three-peat’ Championship’

The Indians secured their third consecutive championship behind strong pitching and timely hitting. The first game was a 7-5 victory in which Jacob Muncy and the offense displayed incredible grit. Several lead changes preluded a 4-run fourth inning powered by a Cliff Cole 2-RBI single that allowed the Indians to grab a lead.

After two Venados crossed the plate in the fifth to trim that lead, Muncy buckled down for the finals two innings to finish a 12 strikeout, complete game performance.

Game two was also one defined by pitching and offensive success late. Two runs accumulated by the Venados off Hrasky through the first six innings stood as the lone scores in the game until the final inning when Cliff Cole swung momentum AGAIN, this time with a 2-RBI triple that propelled the Indians to a 5-run top of the seventh.

Tucker Hrasky returned to the mound in the bottom half with a lead and acquired the last three outs of complete game effort in which he struck out 19.
