‘Indians Log Undefeated Playoff Run’

The 2024 Indians of the Long Island MSBL ran the table and went undefeated in winning six playoff games and clinching the 55+ Tony Ferraro Division Championship.

The Indians are led by player/manager and MSBL Hall of Famer Tony Ferraro.  Tony and Frank Esposito drove the team through a 6-game playoff sweep of the Rangers, Athletics, and Pirates.  In the final clinching game, pitching team ace Drew Lanzetta got the complete game 8-4 victory.  Pete Faulisi also got three pitching playoff wins.

Playoff hitting stars include catcher Dennis Nagel, EH Anthony Ranieri, and shortstop Phil Echevarrio.  Defensive standouts include center fielder Guy Bonet and catcher Dennis Nagel who threw out a number of base stealers.  The entire Indian team rose to the occasion, hitting and running well while playing consistent defense.

The Tony Ferraro led Indians last championship was in 2022, and historically had a 41-0 playoff run in their 30+ year history.
