Dayton Wolves 11, Dayton Rangers 2 (Game three in best-of-three championship series)

The 2023 MVABL (Dayton Ohio) season closed Sunday, October 8th, as we crowned our 2023 League Champions. The Dayton Wolves managed a transition from Wood Bat League to the Metal Bat League as they took on the Dayton Rangers for the 2023 MVABL title.

Game 1 went to the Wolves behind the 2023 MVABL Cy Young award-winning pitcher Jeff Sanders, as the Wolves held the Rangers at bay and won, 9 to 4.

In Game 2, the Rangers bounced back 8 to 5 in come-from-behind fashion, as the Rangers got to Wolves starter Matt Pfeffer, to give the Rangers workhorse Joe Becker the win and force a Game 3.

But for the Rangers, the Wolves juggernaut onslaught was too much to overcome as Austin McFaddin held the Rangers to two runs while the Wolves pounded in 11 to win the title, 11 to 2.
