2023 White Sox Capture Title for Fallen Manager Scott Klein in Antelope Valley MABL

White Sox 9, Phillies 5 (Game two in Best of Three series sweep)

First, I must preface that our White Sox manager and coach, Scott Klein, did an amazing job getting a great group of guys together. Unfortunately, a month and a half into the season he passed away. We all came together as a team and said we must go all the way for Scott! And that we did.

Entering the Antelope Valley MABL playoffs as a #3 seed we had made our way to the semis and inevitably the championship 3-game series. We were facing off against the reigning champion Phillies on 10/1/23.

Game one was a dogfight back and forth the whole game and after a grueling 10 innings, the White Sox came out on top 7-5.

We had an hour break and then got back at it for the second game, where the White Sox remained on top the whole game with a final score of 9-5 over the Phillies. All in all, it was a magical season and a magical way to end it for Coach Scott.
