The Salt Lake Cubs beat the Salt Lake Bulldogs in a thriller 12-10 in 11 innings! These two teams matched up well with two dominant pitchers. During the regular season, the Cubs came out victorious 1-0, giving the Bulldogs their only loss of the season.

The championship game was scheduled for July 19th, however after the Cubs scored two runs in the first, the Bulldogs came out and had guys at second and third with no outs when the rain storm came in hot! The game was postponed until the following day. The two teams came in strong for the championship game as the two aces went at it. It was a back-and-forth game the entire ball game.

The Cubs tied it up in the top of the eighth and then took the lead in the top of the tenth. However, the Bulldogs would answer every time. In the top of the eleventh, the Cubs managed to get two across and the wind was taken out of the Bulldogs. Emilio Ferribus was the starting pitcher for the Cubs and went the distance to get the win. Colby was the starter for the Bulldogs and he went the distance as well but he ended up getting the loss.

This was the first time the Bulldogs would lose a championship game for a few years as they have been dominating the competition. It was a great season for the new and upcoming Salt Lake Cubs, who finished the season at 10-2.  Go Cubs Go!!!!
