2023 Bombers Win Back and Forth Battle with Reds for 35+ Summer Division Title in San Antonio MSBL

On Sunday, December 3rd, the 35+ San Antonio Bombers won the Summer League title in the 35 division of the San Antonio, Texas Men’s Senior Baseball League. The game was played at the Blanco High School athletic field.
The 35+ Bombers defeated the 35+ Reds 15-9 in a game that saw five lead changes.
For the Bombers, Mike Smith pitched a strong game with Randy Mendoza closing out the last inning. The Reds jumped out to a 3-run lead in the top of the first, only to have the Bombers score four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 4-3 lead.
The Reds then scored a run in the second to tie the game at 4-4 and then scored three runs in the third to make it a 7-4 advantage, but the Bombers scored three runs in the fourth to tie the game at 7-7. The Bombers added seven runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
The Bombers batted all 13 players, and the offense was led by the first six batters, Wyatt, Held, Pulliam, Smith, Miller, and Calzoncit, as they went a combined 17-21 on base average between hits, walks and HBP. Travis Buaas also collected two hits for the Bombers. It was a great team effort for the Bombers!
