Pistols 18, Thunder 3 (Game Two in Best of Three Series Sweep)

For the second straight year, the Pistols defeated the Thunder to claim the Southern Colorado (Colorado Springs) MSBL ‘AAA’ League Championship.  Both teams entered the playoffs with 14-2 records, with their only losses sustained against each other.  

In the best 2 out of 3 playoff finals, the Pistols narrowly edged out the Thunder 5-4 in ten innings in the first game and then clinched the championship with an 18-3 victory in game two.  The long rivalry between the two teams has now stretched to six straight meetings in the playoffs with each team winning three championships during that stretch.
