2022 Naples Marlins Sweep Rays for Southwest Florida Crown

Congratulations to the 2022 Naples Marlins for winning the title in a thriller over the former champion Naples Rays. Game one was a battle to the end with the walk-off run after 10 innings, concluding with a Marlins victory.

Game two was played after two weeks of unfortunate rain delays. The Rays lost their Ace pitcher after the last warmup pitch with a freaky bone break to the arm.  Marlins Ace pitcher Mason stood his ground to keep the Rays from back-to-back championships. It was a great job with hats off to Jude Garcia, the Marlins manager.  It was a wonderful season for all.  The league is made up of totally awesome individuals.  I would like to thank them all for providing another exciting year in the Southwest Florida MSBL!
