The Nationals of The Southern Maine Men’s Baseball League captured their third straight championship sweeping the regular-season champs the Expos by scores of 6-3 and 8-3, avenging two regular-season losses. In the semifinal round the Expos took the best of three series versus the Giants 2-1 while the Nationals won two very tight games against the ever-powerful Diamondbacks.

In the postseason the Nationals limited mistakes, pitchers threw strikes with nothing short of outstanding defense behind them, and the batting order had contributions from every spot through the playoffs.
