Naples Rays 7, Lehigh Blue Diablos 4 (Game two in best of three series sweep)

The Naples Rays struggled most of the season in the Southwest Florida MSBL but turned it up towards the end and earned a wild card spot. The Rays then went on to the first rounds of playoffs, advanced to the second round, and eventually advanced to the finals where we swept the first two games against the Lehigh Blue Diablos in the best of three championship series to win the championship.

The first game saw a 12-2 victory while the second game ended up with a 7-4 victory, securing the series sweep and the championship. We had a ‘No-Hitter’ for nine straight innings combined in both games by Mike Pinter and Joseph Guliano. Mike Pinter also hit a grand slam in game one and Billy Di Sarro a 2-run homer in game two.

Our 2021 season MVP was Billy Di Sarro and our 2021 Finals MVP was Mike Pinter.
