2021 Indians Win Best of Three Series Over Expos for 25+ Ettare Division Championship in San Jose MSBL

The San Jose Indians won the 25+ Ettare Division in the San Jose MSBL. Â With a 14-2 regular season, the Indians proceeded into the playoffs with the bye powered by a league-leading offense that scored 171 runs in 16 games. Â To back up the offense, the Indians played solid defense to solidify a pitching staff that gave up a league-low 55 runs. Â Needless to say, that is a winning combination as the team rolled through the playoffs going 4-1 for an overall record of 18-3.
The offense was led all season by Curtis Gomez, Ty Martin, Rob Born, Andrew Casteneda, and Aaron Parker coming up with clutch hits and runs driven in. Â The pitching staff was led by John Pardo with 12 victories, three times winning both ends of a doubleheader. Â Evan Nakagawa came up big toward the end of the season with three victories including a no-hitter in the playoffs.
After a season off due to covid not without challenges, it was nice to be back on the field in 2021!
