2021 Indians Win Best of Three Series Over Expos for 25+ Ettare Division Championship in San Jose MSBL

The San Jose Indians won the 25+ Ettare Division in the San Jose MSBL.  With a 14-2 regular season, the Indians proceeded into the playoffs with the bye powered by a league-leading offense that scored 171 runs in 16 games.  To back up the offense, the Indians played solid defense to solidify a pitching staff that gave up a league-low 55 runs.  Needless to say, that is a winning combination as the team rolled through the playoffs going 4-1 for an overall record of 18-3.

The offense was led all season by Curtis Gomez, Ty Martin, Rob Born, Andrew Casteneda, and Aaron Parker coming up with clutch hits and runs driven in.  The pitching staff was led by John Pardo with 12 victories, three times winning both ends of a doubleheader.   Evan Nakagawa came up big toward the end of the season with three victories including a no-hitter in the playoffs.

After a season off due to covid not without challenges, it was nice to be back on the field in 2021!
