Salty Dogs 7, Warriors 4

The Rhode Island Salty Dogs won their ninth straight 50-over division title on Sunday, October 18th. They captured the league title with a 14-1 record.

In the first round of the playoffs, Pete Parente pitched a 3-hit shutout to beat the Knights 11-0. In the second round Parente threw another shutout to beat the Seadogs 4-0 and set up the championship match-up with the Warriors.

In the final game, Darrin Cumminskey went nine and won an exciting game over a very determined Warriors team 7-4.  Gary Raymond , Tony Lizzote and Dan Fitta had timely hits to lead the Dogs.
