‘Iron Man Livingston Leads the Charge on the Bump’

On Saturday, September 12th the Marlborough A’s won the Connecticut North Men’s Senior Baseball League Championship, 25 and older division.  It was a best two out of three series against the Collinsville River Rats, where Marlborough swept the series, 4–0 and 3-1.  Dan Livingston of Haddam pitched both games and all of the regular season games ending the season with a 1.23 era, 105 strikeouts and only 19 walks, and a 16-1 record in 108 innings pitched.

Marc Adams led the team in hitting with a .476 average and was followed by Greg Annino of Haddam, who hit .429.

Other players from the area include catcher Paul Sciano of Marlborough, Rob Kandro of Portland, Pete Barrows of East Haddam, Chris Loughlin of Willimantic and Mickey Moulin of Mansfield.  It has been a few years since their last championship, but the addition of several younger players should make them a strong contender for the next several years.
