The Sleepy Hollow Reds won their first West-Put MSBL championship, sweeping the Westchester Marlins 8-2 and 11-10 (8 inn). The Reds were led by workhorse pitcher Scott Perlman, who went the distance game one and was called upon to secure the final three outs in game two, and Pat Devaney, who slugged two bases clearing triples (a rarity in 45+!) in game two to lead the offense.
Frank and I are quick to point out that finishing first in the division and sweeping through the playoffs were goals achieved by a total team effort, with every player making significant contributions.
