‘Barberio Gem Sinks Kuhn Contracting’

Buffalo, NY – It only took five innings for the Buffalo Nine to capture their first 45+ Division Championship in the Buffalo MSBL.  The Nine pounded out 12 hits in defeating Kuhn Contracting, 10-0.  

The Nine started out on fire as they plated six runs in the first two innings.  Stellar defense and precision pitching by John Barberio guided The Nine to victory.  Barberio pitched all five innings, scattering six hits, while not allowing a runner past second base.  

The Nine’s offensive attack was led by Jeremy Ross who went 3-3, with a double, three stolen bases and three runs scored.  Mike Larosa was 2-3, with a double and two RBI’s.  Jim Poulous rounded out the attack going 2-2, with two doubles and three RBI’s.  Seven different players recorded a hit in the game.

The Nine finished the season 8-2, with two of the wins coming in the playoffs.  Over the final three games of the season, including two playoff games, the Buffalo Nine outscored their opponents 26-0.
