‘Liners Take Home Trophy in 30th Year’

By Pat Macek, Tulsa League President

Another season in the books for us. The Tulsa Liners, in their 30th anniversary season, won the 2018 Metro Tulsa Baseball Association league championship! This championship was special because the Liners won it in their 30th year as a team in the league. The Liners defeated a tough Angels team in the finals for their 14th overall league title.

The championship was a best 2 of 3 series with the Liners winning game one in a slugfest 14-12 and won game two by a score of 12-3. We know Robert Stay was smiling down on us as the championship was dedicated to him. (Robert was a former member and league president who passed away a couple years ago)
