‘Reds Go ‘Back to Back’ in 2018’

The Reds finished the season 3-8 and entered the post season tournament as the last place team. Although the record doesn’t show it, there were several one run losses which gave us the poor record. Knowing we played everyone so close throughout the season, we knew we had a chance at the title. We knocked out the first place Commodores in a nail biter and went on to win the title game 9-3 versus the second seeded Bombers.

This group of guys epitomized what you want to be a part of in a men’s league team. Every week, everyone showed up to play and have fun. These guys love baseball. Almost every guy pitched on the team throughout the season including a father son duo which was fun to watch.

The 2018 Reds team consists of Gavin Stockdale, Quintyn Ellis, Nathan Jefson, Joel Wheeler, Dalton Brown, Kiefer Bathe, Shelby Jarvis, Randy Jefson, Justin Walen, Austin Polley, Isaac Smith and me, Elliott Uphoff.

Once again, league baseball was the highlight of my summer and can’t wait for the next season to begin. Go Reds, Back to Back Champs!
