‘Baker Gets Things Done on the Hill and at the Plate’

Submitted by Kevin Curt, Sea Dogs manager

The Rhode Island Sea Dogs of the Rhode Island MSBL capped a season in which they won eighteen games, a regular season and a league championship by defeating the Somerset Braves three games to one in their best of five series.

Brian Baker’s performance in this series led the Sea Dogs squad. Baker notched two of the three Sea Dogs victories on the mound while hitting two home runs to help pace their offense.

The Braves took game one of this series behind an outstanding pitching performance by Ryan Geremia. The Sea Dogs bounced back winning the next three straight. For the year, the Sea Dogs led the league in runs (258), runs allowed (132) and had a league leading run differential of +126

This is our third straight league championship, as I am honored to be the player/manager of the Sea Dogs.
