‘Cumminskey Throws Complete Game in Championship Final’
The Rhode Island Salty Dogs swept the Yankees in the finals of the 40+ division of the Rhode Island MSBL. Darrin Cumminskey pitched a complete game victory in an 11-1
victory in game one while Jay Lawrence took the loss for the Yankees. Frank Botelho and Scott Woodward both went 4 for 5 at the plate.
In game two the Salty Dogs prevailed 8-3 to take the crown. Jim Pollock and Mike King combined for the win with Pollock picking up the victory.
The Salty Dogs went 17-3 on the season and this is the 13th combined 40’s and 50’s championship in a row for coach Noah Clark. Congratulations!
