2017 Rhode Island Salty Dogs Win the 50+ Title with a Sweep of the Tides

‘Raymond, Lizotte and Cloutier Lead at the Plate’
The Salty Dogs from the Rhode Island MSBL swept the Tides in the championship series
by the scores of 11-5 and 17-5. Pitcher Pete Parente threw a complete game for the victory and also went 3 for 4 in the final 
tilt. Gary Raymond went 3 for 4, Tony Lizotte was 4 for 5 and Ray Cloutier chipped in with a perfect 4 for 4 day.
Tides pitcher Jim Navaliatt took the loss while Rich Pacino went 2 for 4 for the losers.
In the first game Dan Fitta pitched a complete game victory for the Salty Dogs while Rich Pacino threw a complete game for the Tides while also going 4 for 5 at the plate.
This is the 13th combined 40’s and 50’s championship in a row for coach Noah Clark. Congratulations!
