Submitted by Chris Winter, Mets manager

The Milwaukee Mets capped off an exciting 2017 season by winning the 55+ Division Championship after posting a 12-2 regular season record. After dropping the first game in the best of three championship round, the Mets rebounded in game two behind the arm of Jamey Oberbruner, winning 15-2.

In the decisive game three, the Mets needed a late inning RBI double by Jon Nelson to break a 2-2 tie. A three inning save from Rick Czechowicz secured a 4-2 win and the championship title. Oberbrunner was honored as Pitcher of the Year and League MVP, while Met Wes Thomas claimed Batting Champion honors.
