‘Burnetter and Roberts Secure ‘Three-peat’ on the Mound’’

By Jim Bonaparte, Frozen Ropes Indians manager

The Frozen Ropes Indians completed a ‘3-peat’ in the 33 Division of the Capital District MSBL in Albany, New York finishing 29-2 and sweeping the playoffs 7-0. We were led by CY Young winner Jami Burnetter, who went 8-1 in the regular season with a 0.29 era and 3-0 in the playoffs while not allowing a run. BJ Roberts also went 6-1 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs.

Offensively the Indians hit over .400 as a team led by Jami Burnetter, BJ Roberts, Will Horan, Fernando Robeno , Eric Joyce, Adam Anderson, Mike Ruffinen and Quentin Jensen, who all hit over 400. This has been a very cohesive group and has gone 104-9 over the last four seasons and won 50 consecutive regular season games before a early loss this year. I’m very proud and look forward to 2018 to defend our title.
