‘Total Team Effort Paves Way for 45+ Cubs in Arizona’

The Cubs won the 2016 45-over Central division championship of the Arizona MSBL located in and around Phoenix. This was a total team effort as indicated by three different pitchers getting the win in our three total playoff victories. Many players made major sacrifices.

Some examples are one player who travels for work flew back to Phoenix just for a game then flew back out the same night. Another is a recent cancer survivor. Still another is having knee surgery today but still was able to hit two doubles in the championship game. Finally, one player lost his brother just seven months ago who played at the AAA level. We are all very thankful we can still play the game we love.
